Where do your products come from?
All Surmee products are sourced from small businesses and artisan makers in India, UK, Turkey and Australia. Each season, we focus on a single craft technique and source pieces that showcase it. We meet our makers, we know their names, and we tell their stories.
Are your products ethically made?
Yes. We source only from makers who practise their craft fairly, sustainably and with pride. We pay fair prices, we do not negotiate makers into the ground, and we believe that the price of a piece should reflect what it actually cost to make it well.
How long will my order take?
Orders are dispatched within 2–3 business days from our Sydney warehouse. Standard shipping within Australia takes 3–7 business days. Express options are available at checkout.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Orders are dispatched within 2–3 business days from our Sydney warehouse. As each country has different customs rates, all duties and taxes are to be borne by the buyer once the product arrives in their country and before it is cleared for delivery. We work with trusted courier partners who navigate this process every single day — they will guide you through any steps required. In them, we trust.
Can I return or exchange an item?
We accept returns on full-priced items within 14 days of delivery, provided they are unworn, unwashed and in original condition. We do not accept returns on sale items. Please reach out using the Contact Us Form above to arrange a return.
I am a maker or a small business. Can I be stocked by Surmee?

What does Surmee mean?
Surmee is a word play on the names of our founders' parents — Suresh and Meena. SUR from Suresh, MEE from Meena. It is an ode to the two people who first taught us what beautiful things look like, what hard work looks like, and what it means to build something together.
